Bathroom Wipe-out 365 Coronavirus (SARS CoV-2) anti-viral update 22nd May 2020

Liquid Guard® anti-bac coating is certified to kill the TGEV Coronavirus and Influenza A viruses on surface contact, please download the independent test reports here.

The TGEV Coronavirus is the model structure of SARS CoV and Liquid Guard is in the queue waiting to be tested at one of Europe’s leading test laboratories against SARS CoV-2. Such laboratories are currently inundated with work. We are confident that Liquid Guard will be found to be effective, and have been advised by a leading independent sanitation specialist accordingly.

We will confirm its certification as soon as we’re able to, and in the meantime would advise that any coating treatment claiming to offer longer than “momentary” effectiveness against SARS CoV-2 should have its claims thoroughly vetted. We do not know of any products in our category that have been tested against it due to the scarcity of the strain; meaning that it is not available in commercial testing laboratories.

In any case Liquid Guard’s independently verified effectiveness at killing TGEV Coronavirus means that we are extremely confident that it is SARS CoV-2 effective. Furthermore, its effectiveness against Influenza A, Klebsiella pneumoniae (Pneumonia) and tens of other bacterial microbes (see list here) confirms its valuable contribution to continually reducing the chances of co-infection from surfaces alongside SARS CoV-2. It’s the co-infection risk that can place those most prone in society (with underlying health conditions) who contract the disease at the greatest risk.

What is the Protection Zone

The use of nano-technology across multiple industries has steadily grown over the last two decades. Slowly but surely, the benefits of using nano-scale molecular structures have been transferred to a broad range of consumer products where they impart significant performance benefits across a range of applications that were previously unachievable.

The Protection Zone is an information portal for a range of consumer and trade products which are sold through independent and separate retail sales channels. It provides product information for both consumer and trade customers.

What is nano-technology?

In real terms, one nanometer is 1/1,000,000,000 (one one-billionth) of a meter. To put this in context, 1 micron = 0.001mm. We work with molecules of approx’ 100-150 nm. Beware of the “Nano” prefix, which is not protected – anyone can use it for anything. As such, close inspection of product claims and supporting evidence is always necessary when focused on sourcing true nano-technology based products.

Our products offer superb performance enhancement for multiple surfaces – on glass, paintwork, stone, plastic surfaces, leather and textiles. Product performance characteristics: hydrophobia, oleo-phobia, strong anti-stick properties, and easy-clean dirt and scale repellence.

We support, advise and  supply manufacturers of surface coatings, chemical distributors, and users of high-tech smart coatings. Our aim is to provide performance improving solutions for a  diverse range of requirements. Businesses and consumers in more than 70 countries already benefit from the  intelligent-hybrid performance  of our multifunctional products.

All our nanotechnology products meet their necessary international standards, thus ensuring consumer confidence in performance and environmental credentials.

The Protection Zone – Make Life Easy-Clean

Here's the science

Our superhydrophobic coating range offers glass and polished porcelain protection against soap scum and limescale build-up
Nanoscale particles in the nano-glass coating are approximately  120-nm (80,000 times thinner than a human hair); these fuse seamlessly with particles in the glass to make them easy clean
Our self-disinfecting wipe-on glass coating is the newest generation of surface protection that ensures all surfaces stay clean.
Maximum water repellence and self-cleaning performance, porous mineral surfaces retain their appearance
